I am a certified translator English - German and I have been specialising in financial texts for eight years now.
I work mainly for the world's biggest investment banks and mutual funds companies (UBS, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Threadneedle, Fidelity, Prumerica, Zurich Financial Services, M&G and others). I translate daily, weekly and monthly market reports (stock, bond, FX and money markets), analysts' reports on companies and markets, comments and economist's views as well as monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual funds reports and statements, web sites and brochures of investment banks, SICAV and mutual funds, from English into German.

Since 1996 I have worked as a professional translator, first combining employment and freelancing, turning 100% freelancer in October 2000.
In 1996 I graduated from the AKAD private University in Stuttgart, Germany and passed the German examination for translators. Therefore I am entitled to call myself a certified and sworn translator.

In 1995 I passed the University of Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English with the additional paper "Translation from and into German" (Grade A)

From 1984 to 1996 I worked for a real estate company in Munich and at the same time started studying again, concentrating on languages.
From 1980 to 1984 I spent several years in the accounting department of a big power utilities company in Munich (today part of the E.ON group).
In 1980 I passed the Chamber of Commerce exam for accountants with 96,5% of total points, an equivalent to grade A.

I work on a PC under Windows XP and have excellent expertise in using programs ranging from MS Office 2000/XP, Adobe FrameMaker 6.0 and diverse web editors as well as handling XML files, TRADOS Translation Memory, Déjà Vu and SDLX. I pride myself in delivering flawless results in perfect formatting and always keeping deadlines.
